Allow at least 2-3 days growth prior to your procedure. I will shave your head to the desired length at your session. ( this does not apply to density treatments)
I recommend the Andis T-outliner Trimmer for the best length and results.
You will have some discomfort, but in general this quite tolerable. It’s not uncommon to fall asleep during the procedure. Some areas of the scalp will be more sensitive than others. On a scale of 1-10, you can expect a range of discomfort from level 1-3. We do have numbing cream if needed.

Yes, and this is one of the many reasons why SMP is such a great solution. SMP is a gradual process and not necessarily noticeable except only to the keenest of observers. It looks so natural most people think you shaved your head differently or not think about it at all. You could choose to tell people or keep the procedure to yourself with little difficulty.
But, I would love it if you chose to tell a friend who you think would benefit from the same benefits: Improved self-image and an increased confidence in your appearance.
